Super model Heidi Klum was born on January 1, 1973, in Berisch Gladbach, Germany. Her father worked for a cosmetic company and her mother was a hairdresser. No wonder young Heidi chose a career as a fashion model. At the age 18 she saw an ad for Petra magazine’s Model’92 contest and, advised by her friends, sent her photo to the magazine just for the fun of it.
